Your membership and participation in the Tri-County Education Coalition is critical to our success. Members are provided the opportunity to attend coalition meetings and to discuss issues of common concern, with Tri-County and State leaders. Additionally, members travel to Sacramento in May to meet face-to-face with elected officials.

The Tri-County Education Coalition provides a number of benefits to its members:

• It provides a forum for the identification of common educational concerns

• It establishes positions on educational policy and legislative issues as agreed upon by the members of the Coalition

• It coordinates presentations to elected officials regarding issues affecting public education in the Tri-County area and throughout California

• It works to secure full, adequate, and appropriate funding for public education

• It works to develop broad based support for public education

• It facilitates communication between and among the various organizations represented in the Coalition
